Tony,
  our use of g_relay_allow_from  is just a practical solution. Suddenly all our email lists started getting bounce related problems and we choose to use this option instead of going back a version.  We tried a lot of different things, this was the only way we found  to get the lists working again.

  We made the assumption that other protections that have been put in place, after that help message was put in the documentation, will minimize the spammer use of these address.

  We are open to other, better suggestions and solutions.

    Interesting since Netwin says never to use that because it will be
    abused by spammers. Now that you mention it, I have had this problem
    only since I made the last upgrade. Do you think that is the only way

    I thought there was a new setting in the Configuration Suggestions
    that popped that had to do with "Postmaster" addresses or something,
    but I am unable to find or recall it.

    Does anyone think it may have something to do with SPF mode and the
    related settings?

        Hi,
        I have a very large mailing list I send an update to.  I am running
        the latest version of Surgemail.  I am trying to use the advanced
        setting for leaving bounce messages in a folder.  eg "Leave bounce
        messages in directory surgemail/dlist/list-name-bounce/"

        However, I never receive one bounce. I know that I should probably be
        getting at least a few. I am wondering if there is a setting
        somewhere that is blocking these bounces. Maybe a spam setting that
        is looking at the addresses?

        Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
