I am using Thunderbird. The deletions were not from TB.

I could also just manually delete the files on the server if I would
know how you mark the deletion.

Most imap clients send a purge command either automatically or manually
with a right click option.

      is there and PURGE function or tool ? Some mails are marked for
      deletion
      and now need to be deleted. (No all mail, just some.)
