Hi
There are a couple of possible candidates for this issue:
- Signature content related issues
- Bad cached javascript web requests in the browser cache
- Surgeweb bugs affecting older browsers (particularly IE)
So we need to know whether it is repeatable across accounts and or computers to give any meaningful bughunting suggestions. Interesting it affects both IE and FF. If it was some form of bad browser cache issue I would expect it to only affect one browser. Which version of IE and firefox is he using do you know?
It is likely that the problem is related to html signature content - in terms of odd quote characters or incomplete html tags etc.. Have a look at the sw_signature_nnn.dat files (or possibly signature lines in the users "_user.dat"). You can find using "tellmail swpathHIDDEN@omain", and see if they are oddly formatted in some way.
You can also try getting the users to login using a test account from their computer to see if that helps, that would rule out it being an issue relate to a specific account.
Anyway, let us know how the hunting goes and I'll be able to offer further suggestions :-)

A customer found a strange ajax problem with surgeweb, trying to reply to an email or compose a new one (linux 6.0a5-5). With Firefox, he gets a red box with

Testing with IE, he gets
Unknown error on ajax request. Please report this code to support: TypeError:'length' a la valeur Null ou n'est pas un objet.

I have not been able to reproduce, but it seems to be consistant on his side.
