On the surgemail legal archive page it gives you a very rough estimate based on your actual usage. The cost increases over time as the amount stored increases... ChrisP. The prices that SurgeMail 6.5a-1 estimates for me seem very high. (I currently have 500+ GB of mail, and it's estimating a $270 monthly Amazon bill.) Are those values based on the earlier DevPay system? Yes I believe so, in which case the real cost will be about half. Even recalculating for regular S3 pricing, this is not a cheap feature to implement as mailbox volumes continue to grow. Indeed no it isn't. To get a comparison consider adding local cheap hard drives for the required retention, that's probably the cheaper option. Have you considered supporting Amazon Glacier as an alternative? No, although, you can might be able to just login to amazon and tell it to glacier the older files... (I haven't tried this, the thought just occurred to me) I believe I read that it could be done from the amazon console... ChrisP. Best, Chris
