I have an instance running on CentOS in VMWare Workstation (with, 
admittedly very little load) with no problem at all. I also tried OpenVZ 
and it was a fiasco. I have another instance running on Parallels 
Virtuozzo with slightly more load that's indistinguishable from native 
CentOS.
