Just a question, why not use the mirror function, setup the new server, let it be a "slave" to the old "master", let the 2 sync for a while, then switch over to the new slave? Netwin allows a 30 day "trial license" that will allow you to do that, then transfer you license from the old machine to the new machine? I think that's how I would approach a migration. -- Glenn Meadows Mayfield Mastering 2825 Erica Place Nashville, TN 37204 615-383-3708 On 1/3/2014 10:20 AM, JDL wrote: > Hello list! > > I have seen post in the past regarding this issue but I did not save that and I am unable to find them on the web site. We are migrating SurgeMail from a 32-bit linux server to a 64-bit linux server. I have the information for moving SurgeMail from the web site. > > http://netwinsite.com/surgemail/help/faq.htm#moving_surgemail > > However, since we are changing platforms, I believe there are some files, particularly in g_home (/usr/local/surgemail) that will not work properly from one platform to another. If I recall, there were some performance counters or other binary data files that would not be compatible. I was wondering if anyone had any further information on what files should NOT be migrated from one platform to other. > > Thanks, > > Jim Lohiser > N2Net
