Does “tellmail suspend” immediately halt all messages that are currently being sent such that “tellmail delete_contains” will catch everything, and then we
can do a “tellmail resume”?

(followed by tellmail resume)
is there a command to stop all outbound email so an admin has time to clean up the queues?
That command deletes all the matching queue files on disk, but any message which is currently being 'sent' (or trying to send) is effectively locked so it can't
touch them.
Why didn’t it get them all the first time through?

Suspended prevents the user sending email. However message that are already queued will continue to go out, you can use the command
to delete queue entries containing that account name.
It is most likely a hacker is sending with the account and changing the password is probably the best thing to do. Inspecting the ip addresses used to send
should determine for sure.
What do the various settings in "Account Status" do please
We have a Users sending out spam.
Their IT people are checking with AV etc.
We changed the Status to Suspended, but still finding outward mail in the Queue.??
