The login attempts don't really cause any harm once they are being ignored, but you can use: G_HACKER* settings which you may wish to play with. It may still result in log entries with each attempt, but it can be effective in decreasing the number of guesses that are achieved and thus reduce the chances of a successful breakin. ChrisP.
