Thanks Stuart. That was helpful! Unfortunately, I am not sure it works yet. Here's what I get now. Maybe you can tell from the status below?

Thanks Lyle,
I opened Port 110 on both ends. Now I get the following:

disabled on either machine. Port 110 is open in both directions.

Hi,
Mirroring won't start. I get an "open connection refused" on the
master. Here is the detail:
I have set up both the master and slave per
http://netwinsite..com/surgemail/help/mirror.htm and started the
mirror (on the master only) as follows:
issue "tellmail resync_config" on master (if using g_mirror_config)
issue "tellmail surgehost_update" on master
issue "tellmail resync_nwauth"' on master (if using nwauth)
issue "tellmail resync_fast" on master
When I issue the "tellmail status" command I get the following on the
MASTER
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mirror Status (MASTER) to (XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX [IP of slave]) live
Add: 7 (0.0/s) live=0
Sent: 0 (0.0/s)
Queue: 1395k 0.0%
Config: Feb 09 16:52:53
Open failed
State: Started 1
Que:
Info: 16:53 readline open Connection refused after 0 seconds
In: add=0 del=0 rename=0 fail=0 prune=0
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Almost an hour after the above commands were given to the master, the
SLAVE shows this:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mirror Status (SLAVE) to (XX.XX.XX.XX [IP of MASTER) live
Add: 0 (0.0/s) live=0
Sent: 0 (0.0/s)
Queue: 0k 0.0%
Config: Not since restart
Resync: No record of last resync command
State: Started 1
Que:
Info: 02:27 Open (XX.XX.XX.XX [IP of MASTER]) failed Operation now in
progress 33 sec
In: add=0 del=0 rename=0 fail=0 prune=0
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Every time I repeat this, the time under "Info: " changes to the
current time for both the Master and Slave. Please disregard the wide
discrepancy in times - the machines are set to different time zones.
Any ideas as to why it is not starting?
Thank you.
Patrick
I believe that mirroring is done over tcp port 110. Could you have
firewall issues preventing them from talking on port 110? Can you telnet
to port 110 from the master to slave or vis-versa?
