In case you don't know what this error means(TCP_read_dot_error)...In SMTP, when sending an email, you are susposed to send <cr>.<cr> toterminate or end the message that you sent. Surgemail is complainingthat someone is sending an email and not ending the session with a<cr>.<cr> pattern.Comcast is good for doing that. They like to send an email and then notclose the TCP connection. Surgemail will eventually give up and closethe connection with a tcp_read_dot_error.. Comcast is so big and busy,they try to keep the TCP connection open after sending an email so thatthey don't have to open it again to send yet another message.There are other reasons for this to happen, but that is a common causeand hopefully this helps you understand the message and what to look for.Lyle
