First of all, sorry for not being very precize, I don’t know where to
start looking and would really appreciate any hints on where to start.

I have a strange “lockup” problem with Thunderbird. I am using a few
IMAP Accounts on our surgemail server. I have had these problems under a
few versions of Thunderbird, currently I am using 7.0.1.

Sometimes I get hang-ups, were I am able to send mail out, but when
Thunderbird wants to save that send mail in the “Send Mails” IMAP
folder, it fails. It gives me the option to try over and over, but it
does not resolve.

One I have this “hang-up”. I have this problem with any other mail that
I try to send; also I cannot delete Mails anymore. I cannot even save
anything as a draft (IMAP) anymore (on this he tells me that he is busy).

I have a very stable fiber optic connection and have no problem with that.

I had not really looked at surgemail, but I updated to Windows 5.3h2-2.
Yesterday when I had a lookup I restarted the mailserver and it resolved
the problem.
