I am pretty sure that if the mail is exported in Thunderbird, then it
can be imported into an imap account, but maybe not.
I didn't do all that when I switched over. I just left the pop3 account
on the PC, but disabled it from sending and receiving.
Then set up a new imap account.
If I need to look at old mail, I just open up the pop3 account and look.
If need be, copy and pasting from old emails to new ones is how I do it.
