Running most recent version. The delay is between outlook and the mail server. outlook sits there for about a minute trying to send a small text email .

will the logs you mention show the time of the inital connection from the email client

up to the time the mail server accepts the message and processes it?

 

Are you certain you have the most recent version (6.4a or later) I ask because this particular fault is a known issue so it's worth making sure.

Yes they will.  I can tell you now you are probably hitting a dns issue, and it may mean your setting g_dns_host needs checking.  But yes the log should confirm what it's waiting on.
