That is a client issue.  Each program has a different default for where it puts stuff.

For instance:

Outlook
Sent Items
Deleted Items

Thunderbird
Sent
Trash

Those are the defaults for those programs.  They each have a way to change the name from the default.

I have had people get mad at me when I accidently create a Trash folder and dump a bunch of old mail in it.  'Why are you calling my email trash?'
