This error means the sending server sent.

.....(something) followed by:
==\r\n

And surgemail then waited for 4 minutes for something else to arrive, 
but nothing ever did. The message should terminate with:

\r\n.\r\n

So, (on the face of it) the sending server is faulty, or the network 
link is faulty, or some gateway/firewall inbetween is faulty, or the 
message in the senders que/file system is corrupt.
