Don't think that is causing your gmail trouble.

Way back in 2007, this was posted to the list:

It isn't serious, it means that all the sending channels were busy when
that message was ready to send so it got queued, this is completely
normal and probably just means a mailing list or some other bulk email
was sent.

If your mail queue keeps growing then there may be a problem, but as
long as it  grows then shrinks then this is fine.


If you don't have any large mailing lists being sent out then I suppose
it could indicate a spammer sending out on your machine. use the command
    tellmail showq
to analzye the queue and this will give you a good idea 'what' type of
stuff is queued up.
