These settings control the behaviour:
g_imap_spam_train "true"
G_SPAM_FOLDERS "true"
G_SPAM_FOLDERS_show "true" <---- and very likely this one... this is the one that controls weather or not everyone can see those folders
g_friends_release_wash "true" <---- this is the one you need taht you are probably missing
g_imap_friends "true"
Then, with a bit of luck, it will do what you expect more or less:
1) It will clean the subject and train when you move a message from the spam folder to the inbox
2) it will train the message when you move it from the inbox to the spam folder
3) If you drop a message from the inbox to the 'train not spam' folder it will clean the subject and train (only in latest beta's) (so the message will magically re-appear rather than moving)
Be warned some email clients e.g. thunderbird are so smart they don't notice that the message subject has 'changed' when moving a message so results are not 100% until you read the message again.
In surgeweb the train folders are not shown as it has buttons to do the same thing.
You may need to 'subscribe' to the train folders even with the above settings...

As a follow up what controls when these two folders are available to the client? They show up for me but not for other people I setup. And yes at least the "Train is Spam" folder deletes the message. I'm not sure about the other one. I wish that you could drag messages whose subjects have SPAM in it into the "Train NOT Spam" folder and have it strip the SPAM subject and move it to the inbox (assuming it was in the spam folder).
