I would like to have Surgemail add all email addresses from out going mail to my friends white list... but it does not do it when I use Thunderbird.... I see the stipulation:

(checked) Add all outgoing email addresses to list. (Recorded during smtp-authentication)

When I send mail through Thunderbird does it authenticate its smtp session?
