Ryan, this has nothing to do with the quality of the email addresses going to Yahoo. (I have some large lists and get this all the time from yahoo). The error you are getting is a 421 error, not a 5xx series error. 400 series errors are temporary failures and should be retried. 500 series errors are fatal errors and should not be retried. But in this case, it's a 421, so a retry is in order. Yahoo plays by it's own rules and there doesn't seem to be much anyone can do about it and it's almost impossible to contact an intelligent human there. To mitigate this problem, I use g_send_tolimit to limit yahoo sends to 300 per hour and that helps. Lyle Giese LCR Computer Services, Inc.
