All of the surgeweb interface should be fully UTF8 based and support the automatic conversion of emails in native character sets to UTF8. There are no known issues along these lines, however you mention the mobile non ajax interfaces, these have had the least attention in terms refinement so it is possible there are still issues to be resolved.

If you use the ajax interface everything does show correctly?

I'll run some tests but it would make it easier if you passed me some of your few test messages (in raw format from disk eg using surgeweb forward attached, and OFFLIST thanks)
