When they reconnect it will automatically update.
on the slave when the master is reconnected just to help things along but
it's not strictly required.
Not worried about the 1 mailing list a client has for the period the
master
is off. So I will leave the master as master and slave as slave. When
master
arrives at new location, I deactivate the old key on it, and then
re-tellmail the key with new IP address for that master server.
That should work.

Will the messages in Slave flow over to Master without issuing an
commands
at that time? Or do I reissue the resync commands on master and that will
initiate slave to send over whatever master does not have?
Thanks for the help,
Jake

In general, for a brief time you can leave it like that. The only thing
I
know of that will fail is mailing lists because it cannot send out to a
mailing list without the master (otherwise it might send out twice
which would
be bad) so if you need to send to a mailing list during those two days
then
you will need to switch master/slave, otherwise it's easier to leave
it.

Hello all,
Question on mirroring. I have my master and slave setup currently and
all is
synced and working fine. The Master will be taken offline for about 2
days
due to a location move and then turned back on. Do I need to rename
the
master to slave at that time and slave to master, or can it stay as
is and
the slave will update the master based on 2 days downtime? It is not
a
heavily loaded mailserver.
Let me know,
Jake
